Add/update the Category timings

UrbanPiper integrations allow you to update and manage your menu’s category hours directly from the platform.

If you want to sell certain categories only at specific times, you can take advantage of this feature by adding timing to your respective categories.

In this guide, we will walk through the steps to create a category schedule and associate it with a menu category for publishing.

Follow these steps to ensure your menu is published with the correct timings.

Step 1: Create a New Schedule

  1. Navigate to the navigation bar.

  2. Click on "All Apps".

  3. Select "Schedules".

  4. Click on "Create a New Schedule".

  5. Provide a title for your schedule.

  6. Click on "Next" to proceed.

Step 2: Add Timings

Here, you can add timings based on your needs. Options include daily, weekdays, weekends, or custom timings.

  1. Select the desired timing option.

  2. Add the timings. Note that timings should be in multiple of 30 minutes

  3. If needed, add another timing group.

  4. Click on "Save" to save your schedule.

Step 3: Associate Schedule with a Category

  1. Go to the "Catalog" section.

  2. Navigate to "Categories".

  3. Select the desired category to associate the schedule.

  4. Click on "Associate Category Timing".

  5. Click on "Save" to confirm the association.

Note: If there are any subcategories under the parent category, you need to assign timings for each subcategory as well. Navigate to the subcategory and associate the timing accordingly.

Step 4: Publish the Menu

  1. Once the timing group is correctly associated, proceed to publish the menu.

  2. Ensure the menu is published on Zomato.

  3. Click on "Publish".

After successfully publishing the menu, your category timing will be associated as expected.

Please ensure that the support flag for category schedule is enabled before publishing the menu as shown below.
