Setting Up Your Foodics Account for Integration with UrbanPiper

In this guide, we will walk you through the necessary steps to properly configure your Foodics account in preparation for integration with Urban Piper.

Step 1: Create a Dedicated Product Group

  1. Go to the menu and navigate to the menu builder.

  2. Click on groups and then click on create group.

  3. Name the group "UrbanPiper" and click save.

  4. Add only the items you want to sell online to this group. Items not in the UrbanPiper product group will not be published to delivery platforms.

  5. Open the Urban Piper group and click on edit products to add the items you want to show on online platforms.

  6. In the group section for UrbanPiper, avoid using the subgroup or combos option as they are not supported.

  7. Ensure the items are active, not archived, and have their prices added.

  8. Once all items are added, click save.

Step 2: Check Language Configuration

  1. Set the primary language to English and the secondary language to Arabic for all categories, products, modifiers, and modifier options.

  2. Open any product to ensure the product name exists in both English and Arabic.

  3. For the description, click on edit product and add the description in both languages.

  4. Click save once updated for all platforms and products.

Step 3: Verify Product Images

  1. Go back to the products and open any product.

  2. Click on edit product and upload the image if missing.

  3. Click save after uploading the image.

Step 4: Update Nutritional Information

  1. Ensure each product has updated nutritional info, especially calories, which are mandatory for Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and recommended for UAE and Egypt.

  2. Click on edit nutritional value and update the information.

  3. Click save once all nutritional info is updated.

Step 5: Verify Categories and Modifiers

  1. Ensure all Categories, modifier groups, options names exist in both Arabic and English, with English as the primary language.

Step 6: Configure Pricing for Different Platforms

  1. For different pricing on platforms like Talabat or Jahez, use price tags.

  2. Go to the menu settings and click on price tags.

  3. Create a new price tag with the format "up" followed by the platform name (e.g., up-talabat).

  4. Open the price tag and add products for which you want different pricing.

  5. Update the prices and click save.

  6. For modifier options, update prices by adding options first in the price tag and then updating the price.

  7. Click save.

Ensure all steps are completed and verified for a successful integration with UrbanPiper.
